If you are a western retail store or manufacture goods for those stores you should be interested in the Western & English Sales Association which is based in Denver, Colorado. Denis Arey is this year’s President.
“Western & English Sales Association (WESA) was organized in 1921 under the corporate name, Men’s Apparel Club of Colorado. These WESA founders launched their first trade show in Denver in January, 1922, with the goal of creating a forum where retailers, manufacturers & sales representatives could conduct business in an atmosphere of fair trade & fellowship. Today’s Denver International Western/English Apparel & Equipment Markets have evolved into the world’s largest trade events for the Equestrian Industry, attracting a constantly growing global audience to Denver’s world-class markets.”
You must be a qualified (and paid) member to participate but they hold two HUGE trade shows at the Denver Merchandise Mart in January and September. There are something like 12,000 buyers and sellers, entertainment, events and the National Western Stock Show is in town at the same time. It’s a great way to see new products and to meet old friends. I’ll be there and hope you will be too.
