MOL-logoWhen movie makers need horses, cattle, mules, wagons, etc. they normally rent them. One of the companies doing this is Movin On Livestock located in Southern California and Corrales, New Mexico, owned by Jack Lilley and Clay Lilley. This is a fourth generation livestock barn. They have over 65 years of motion picture experience between family wranglers. This experience is practical ranching, not just in the movies!

They not only provide the animals but will teach actors to ride and teach lifestock to do tricks required by the script. From their website: “Movin On Livestock’s Movie Livestock are accustomed to guns, cannons, explosives, fire, water, movie horse stampedes, movie animals (goats, sheep, etc…). Our Movie Livestock have even been in Chicago’s City Hall Elevators, on barges, and trains.” And they can provide wagons, tack and other western items as required.

They have hundreds of movie and TV credits including City Slickers, Bad Girls, Young Guns, National Treasure and the Legend of Zorro.
