Most cowboys I know wear Wrangler jeans. Why?
People who spend a lot of time in the saddle prefer Wranglers, simply because they do not have an inseam. That inseam can get pretty uncomfortable after several hours rubbing on your thighs.

Levi Strauss made the first Levi’s jeans (actually work trousers) out of canvas for miners in the gold fields of California. He used sail canvas that he brought with him from the east and couldn’t sell to ships Chandlers because it was too light. Cowboys weren’t fond of them because they had a rivet in the crotch that would cause a, ummm, bit of discomfort after a length of time in the saddle.
