They are riding pants made in many different styles that feature washable deerskin. Custom sizing is available at no extra charge, although our in stock sizes fit 95% of the riding population. We make men’s and women’s pants and we have customers who don’t even ride horses! We have a number of motorcycle riders who like Equissentials for their ‘steel horses’. There are a number of color options and optional features, such as cell phone pockets, fringe, back pockets, zipper/snaps/belt loops and even silhouettes in deerskin! Yes, you could get your brand or breed association logo on your pants! Or even your initials!
Equissentials is a company that stands behind its product; we even have a deerskin recycling program! If you wear out your breech fabric, we can take off the deerskin (because that never wears out!) and put it on new fabric for 40% of the cost of a new pair of breeches. We also offer maternity breeches! Once the baby comes and you have your body back to where it wants to be, we will refit them to your post-baby body at NO cost to you! Yup, that’s a free service that we offer. Custom breeches take about two business weeks to receive.
We offer 4 different fabrics, including a superb winter fabric, that is not fluffy on the outside, so dirt, shavings, hair, etc just ‘wick’ away and don’t get stuck on the outside of your pants. These can be cut into any style!
Any cut that you desire can be created. We can do ‘low rise’ pants that are higher in the back for coverage as well as pants that are longer in the heel for saddle seat riders!
There were no less than 5 riders at the recent Buck Brannaman Santa Fe, New Mexico clinic in EQ’s, including local horsewoman Cat Parks. Julie Goodnight (not a paid spokesperson) was wearing them during the recent clinic that she held in Santa Fe.
The deerskin actually gets softer and ‘tackier’ with wear and washing, which is a feature especially appreciated by those who ride youngsters, spooky horses, trail riders who desire extra grip in the saddle, etc.
For kids, we offer Grip Bums, which are pants that feature silk screened ‘tacky’ designs on the bottom to offer extra grip, without the cost or commitment of deerskin.
