Cowboy Forrest Mackey from Sedan, New Mexico has won a much coveted performance spot at the famous National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko, Nevada. His poem was selected by the sponsoring Western Folklife Center for this year’s theme “Expressing the Rural West: Poetry of the Next Generation”. The Gathering starts today.
